Q:What hours do you provide service?
A:

Ours is a 5 hour service, including full beach concierge service. We will work with you to arrange your arrival time and a staff member will be there to greet you at your location upon arrival. Call if you want to extend or shorten beach time.

Our bonfire service hours vary depending on the season. Please contact us for start times for a bonfire or s’mores set up. Our bonfire service lasts two hours. Our insurance requires a staff member to remain on hand for our bonfire service, however, we can provide some privacy for any party.

Q:On which beaches do you provide service?
A:

We provide service on several different areas of North County. Contact us to find the best location for you.

Q:What if I want a service in a different location?
A:

Contact us and we can discuss. Custom locations have separate pricing and additional charges for travel time, gas, etc.

Q:How do I make a reservation?
A:

You can contact us through our website, mobile app, Facebook or Instagram.

Q:How will I know where to go for my Beach Genie service?
A:

When you make a reservation, we will be in contact with you and give you detailed information on where your set up or party is located, including nearby streets and lifeguard stand numbers.

Q:What if we are running late?
A:

No problem, just let us know. We can keep your set up in place for 30 minutes after your planned arrival time. After 30 minutes of your start time, we will begin dismantling the set up. Clients who are “no shows” will be charged the full price for the service.

Q:What if I need to cancel my reservation?
A:

We understand that things happen and sometimes life gets in the way. We offer full refunds on reservations canceled 48 hours in advance of the event. If you must cancel less than 48 hours in advance, we will charge 50% of our fee. If a client would prefer to receive a “rain check,” on a cancellation less than 48 hours in advance, we can accommodate that request.

Q:What if I decide to leave early?
A:

Our daytime service is intended as a five hour service, however, we understand that clients may wish to have less time on the beach. In the event you wish to leave before the end of your service, please call or text us and let us know, as local ordinances require us to begin dismantling set ups within a specific time frame.

Q:Is a Beach Genie experience family friendly?
A:

Of course! We know those first beach days with kids can be hectic. We can provide a Pack and Play, sand toys, and juice boxes for kids. Be sure to inquire about our upgraded sand toys! Anyone up for a Taj Mahal sand mold? How about some detailing on that sand creation? We have some really great sand toy options, along with the plain old bucket and shovel.

Q:What restaurants can I order food from?
A:

As locals, we know all the best local restaurants. Are you interested in some ceviche with that ocean view? Maybe some great pizza or a fresh sandwich? Cake by the ocean? We could go on. For food ordering, call or text your Beach Genie staff member. He or she will come to you and personally provide you some awesome, local recommendations. You order from your phone for take out, and Beach Genie will go pick it up and deliver your food right to you on the beach. We do charge a delivery fee for each restaurant we visit for your order.

Q:I would love to have coffee and pastries waiting for us when we arrive at our set up. Is that possible?
A:

At Beach Genie, we make your beach day wishes come true! We can easily have food delivered and available for you when you arrive. Need that morning latte to get you going? No problem. Our kids LOVED to do “Coffee and Donuts at the Beach” days. We are happy to pick up some fresh, locally made pastries for you and have everything waiting for your arrival. We will add the food, beverage and convenience fee to your bill.

Q:We may need a mid-morning snack when we arrive. Can you have something besides coffee and donuts available when we arrive?
A:

Like we said, we make your beach day wishes come true! We work with an amazing local charcutterie board and fruit plate provider. We can easily have that delivered and available for you when you arrive. Just give us some advance notice. Again, we will add the food, beverage and convenience fee to your bill.

Q:We need surfboards, wetsuits and boogie boards. Where can we rent those?
A:

Just let us know! We partner with small, locally owned surf shops for your water sport needs and will reserve equipment for you. These surf shops will want you to come in to get fitted for the right size wetsuit. Once that’s done, browse the shop, pick up some rad local surf shop tees and sweatshirts. The morning of your service, we will pick up the rentals and deliver them to your Beach Genie location. At the end of the day, just leave them at your spot and we will take care of the return.

Q:We would LOVE to get some surf lessons. Can you arrange that?
A:

Of course we can arrange surf lessons for you! We partner with local surf instructors who have years of experience and love sharing their passion for surfing. You’ll be in good hands.

Q:Can I bring my dog?
A:

All of the beaches throughout San Diego County prohibit dogs. Certified Assistance Animals are allowed and welcome for those who need them. If you bring your family pet to the beach, the lifeguards will ask you to leave and your Beach Genie service will be ended. There is a dog beach in Del Mar, where dogs are encouraged.

Q:Can Beach Genie deliver alcohol or have it at our set up?
A:

Unfortunately, this is one wish we cannot make come true. Alcohol is prohibited on the beaches throughout San Diego County and subject to a fine.
