Ours is a 5 hour service for our luxury beach set ups, cabana parties and sunset soirees. Call if you want to extend or shorten beach time. Additional time is charged at $100 per hour. We can accomodate early morning set up requests.
Our bonfire service are 2 hour events. Please contact us for start times for a bonfire or s’mores set up. Our insurance requires a staff member to remain on hand for our bonfire service, however, we can provide some privacy for any party. Our permits require us to be cleaned up and off the beach by 11:00 p.m.
We are permitted on Oceanside Harbor beach and Tower 10 beach (adjacent to North Coast Village) in Oceanside. Our State beach locations include Carlsbad State Beach at Tamarack, Carlsbad State Beach south of Tamarack (middle beach), Cardiff State Beach (south) and Torrey Pines State Beach (south),
Parking for Oceanside Harbor beach is paid parking in adjacent parking lots. For our State beach locations, paid parking lots are adjacent to all locations except Carlsbad State Beach south of Tamarack, which has only street parking available.
For parking at Oceanside Tower 10 there is a Pay & Park at 910 N. Pacific Street Lot (shown on the map) and it's a less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Walk down N. Pacific Street, turning left on N. Coast Village Way.

When you make a reservation, we will be in contact with you and give you detailed information on where your set up or party is located, including nearby streets and lifeguard stand numbers and texting you a "pin". Please provide a phone number that we can text a specific location.
We require guests to arrive within 20 minutes of the start time so our team can get to other obligations. We will charge $20 for every 20 min up to an hour. After one hour of your start time, we will begin dismantling the set up. Clients who are “no shows” will be charged the full price for the service. These restrictions are required by our permits.
We understand that things happen and sometimes life gets in the way. We offer full refunds on reservations canceled 48 hours in advance of the event. If you must cancel less than 48 hours in advance, we will charge 50% of our fee. If a client would prefer to receive a “rain check,” on a cancellation less than 48 hours in advance, we can accommodate that request.
We understand that clients may wish to have less time on the beach. In the event you wish to leave before the end of your service, please call or text us and let us know. We will do our best to get down to your event as soon as possible. Please note that in the terms and conditions of our service, clients are responsible for all the equipment during the contracted service. Please do not leave the equipment unattended.
Of course! We know those first beach days with kids can be hectic. We can provide beach games, sand toys, and juice boxes for kids. Be sure to inquire about our upgraded sand toys! Anyone up for a Taj Mahal sand mold? Most of our sand toys are beach rescues, meaning they were found abandoned on the beach. By reusing these toys, they not only get the use they deserve, but we keep them out of the landfill and ocean.
As locals, we know all the best local restaurants. Prior to your service, we will inquire about food for your event. We have several charcuterie partners we work with to have food ready for your arrival. If you prefer to order from a local restaurant, we can make local recommendations. Each of our locations has local preferred partners. You order and pay online from your phone for take out, and Beach Genie will go pick it up and deliver your food right to you on the beach. We do charge a delivery fee for each restaurant we visit for your order.
At Beach Genie, we make your beach day wishes come true! We can easily have food delivered and available for you when you arrive. Need that morning latte to get you going? No problem. Our kids LOVED to do “Coffee and Donuts at the Beach” days. We are happy to pick up some fresh, locally made pastries for you and have everything waiting for your arrival, just order online beforehand.
We work with an amazing local charcutterie board and fruit plate providers. We can easily have that delivered and available for you when you arrive. Just give us some advance notice. Again, we will add the food, beverage and convenience fee to your bill.
Just let us know! We partner with small, locally owned surf shops for your water sport needs and will reserve equipment for you. These surf shops will want you to come in to get fitted for the right size wetsuit. Once that’s done, browse the shop, pick up some rad local surf shop tees and sweatshirts. The morning of your service, we will pick up the rentals and deliver them to your Beach Genie location. At the end of the day, just leave them at your spot and we will take care of the return.
Of course we can arrange surf lessons for you! We partner with local surf instructors who have years of experience and love sharing their passion for surfing. You’ll be in good hands.
Oceanside beaches and most State beaches prohibit dogs. Certified Assistance Animals are allowed and welcome for those who need them. If you bring your family pet to the beach, the lifeguards will ask you to leave and your Beach Genie service will be ended.
Unfortunately, this is one wish we cannot make come true. Alcohol is prohibited on the beaches throughout San Diego County and subject to a fine. Beach Genie cannot provide, serve or have alcohol in our coolers.
Our State Beach permits come with several restrictions. We need 3 days' notice minimum for services on State beaches. We are limited to 15 guests at these events. Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, there are no Saturday or Sunday reservations allowed. There are some blackout dates for these beaches. Our Oceanside beaches do not have these same restrictions.
Beach Genie is a fantastic way to celebrate life events from birthday and anniversaries to graduations and baby showers. However, we are committed to having a great time responsibly. Glass is never allowed on the beach and we got creative in making sure our set ups don't include glass. Fireworks, including sparklers, are prohibited, as are balloons, which can harm ocean life. Please contact us regarding your decorating plans to ensure everything is allowed on the beach.
We are excited to offer a variety of entertainment from musicians, sand castle building instruction, storytellers, ukulele lessons, hula lessons and character appearances. Contact us for pricing.
Currently, all of our permits require us to use portable propane fire pits. These are clean burning and don't produce any smoke. They burn hot enough to roast s'mores, but do not produce heat the way a wood or coal fire does. We do offer warm blankets for extra warmth on chilly evenings.
Our permits in Oceanside allow for up to 50 guests. If you are interested in a large event on a State beach, we can assist you with obtaining State beach permits. There is a class of State beach permits that does allow for alcohol on the beach. We charge a "State Beach permit gathering fee" for this service. State Parks requires at least 45 business days' notice for these permits.
