Our first blog post! We are so excited to start on our Beach Genie adventure. We can’t wait to meet our clients, find out a little about them and create custom beach day experiences. We also are excited for our sons to see firsthand how a small business runs, and have them be part of our family business.
Our first Beach Genie client was Alissa Kacar. Alissa lives in San Diego. She wanted to put together a “Girls Night” sunset, bonfire and s’mores package. This one was a bit tricky, as local king tides had decimated many of our beaches just a couple of days before the event. We scouted several locations, without finding the right spot.
I was driving down the coast in Cardiff and saw several “Public Beach Access” signs. I couldn’t see the beach from where I parked, but followed the signs to a short, sandy path leading to the beach. It was ideal - a wide open beach with unobstructed sunset views! The beach wasn’t crowded, but it wasn’t deserted either. Perfection!
Beach temps were pretty cool that night, so we brought along some homemade hot chocolate and cozy blankets. Alissa and her friends ordered up a charcuterie board and organic s’mores for their event. We partner with an amazing, local charcuterie provider who produced a gorgeous spread. We brought outrageously good, organic s’mores with multiple “add ins” found locally at the Oceanside Farmer’s Market.
As you can see from the pics, Alissa and friends had a great time! We were even rewarded with views of the moon accompanied by Saturn and Jupiter in Sagittarius in the night sky! Beach Genie’s first luxury sunset, bonfire and s’mores service… mission accomplished!
